Melijent (Linagliptin) 5 mg is an oral antidiabetic tablet produced by Alhavi Pharmaceutical — the first manufacturer of this medication in Iran.
It belongs to the DPP-4 inhibitor class and is used to control blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Linagliptin works by increasing insulin secretion and reducing hepatic glucose production, thereby improving glycemic control when used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as Metformin.

Melijent is indicated for:
• Control of blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic medications such as Metformin
Linagliptin acts by inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, thereby increasing incretin hormone levels, stimulating insulin release, and reducing glucose production in the liver.
• Recommended dose: 5 mg once daily
• Can be taken with or without food
